Average number of days earlier that harvests now occur in Burgundy’s Cote d’Or than they did prior to 1988. The analysis, reported in the European Geosciences Union’s journal Climate of the Past, was based on 664 years’ worth of harvest dates and weather conditions surrounding the city of Beaune. The data constitute the longest known homogenous series of grape harvest dates anywhere in the world.
