Percentage increase in the price of avocados in New Zealand recently due to low harvest yields. Earlier this year in Kiwiland, avocados were already expensive at NZ$5 each (~ US $3.30). A black market for the coveted fruits now exists in that country, causing locals to install security systems and razor wire around their avocado trees to thwart (guacamole-craving) thieves.
