Elegance in Wine


I just tasted two syrupy dull Châteauneuf-du-Papes from producers whose wines epitomized refinement 20 years ago. Now they are leaden alcoholic wines with no spark of life left in them. As climate change’s grip on wine regions tightens, what will happen to elegance in wine?
