Approximate amount (in US$) French cafes, wine bars, and restaurants could be fined for failure to comply with the country’s newly updated Transparency of Information on Agricultural and Food Products law. The law mandates that wines sold by-the-glass and carafe carry information on the wine’s origin–either Appellation d’Origine Contrôllée, Protected Designation of Origin, or Protected Geographical Indication.
