The operation (active for about three years) repackaged cheap bulk wine as top Penfolds wine (Penfolds is one of Australia’s most coveted brands, especially in China), complete with phony anti-counterfeit stickers. Trafficking in fake Australian wines in China may be exacerbated by the 212% tariff China recently levied against Australia.
