Percentage of all French wine that are made in the Languedoc-Roussillon. Despite the region’s considerable size, historical importance, and innovative winemaking, it is still relatively unknown outside of France itself. Languedoc-Roussillon wines cover a broad spectrum from whites to reds, dry to sweet, still to sparkling, and even vins doux naturels which are naturally sweet, fortified wines.
