Value of the impact (in billions of US$) of the wine industry on the US economy in 2022, up from $219 billion five years ago, according to a report sponsored by WineAmerica and the Association of American Wineries. The upsurge in value is attributable to many factors including a rise in the number of wineries east of the Rockies, a substantial rise in vineyard acreage nationally, and a huge jump in tourist dollars spent in wine regions.
