Percent of Argentina’s wine production now devoted to one grape– malbec. Malbec is grown in every single wine region within the 2,300-mile long country. Thanks to the Andes mountains, Argentina has the highest-altitude vineyard in world–Bodega Colomé–10,200 feet (3,111 meters) above sea level. Just over 50% of all Argentine wine exports head to the U.S.
