Percent of women winemakers in California who own their own winery. That figure for men is 47%. In the midst of an election that reminds us that women make up over 50% of the U.S. population, the tiny percentage of women winemakers overall (about 10% in California; 7% in Washington State; 10% in Oregon) is perplexing at best.
