Number of alcohol bans that have been issued in South Africa since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the Drinks Business, the latest one went into effect on June 27 and will last two weeks. While the bans are crushing the South African wine industry, the Government maintains that the bans are needed to limit alcohol consumption during the Covid pandemic.
