Number of different wines traded in 2016 on the fine wine trading platform, Liv-ex. Founded in 1999, the London International Vintners Exchange (Liv-ex) is an internet and telephone-based information and trading platform for merchants of and investors in fine wine. The 4,000 wines traded in 2016 represented 670 luxury brands, including the first ever trade for English sparkling wine Nyetimber, and Chinese cabernet sauvignon Ao Yun.
