The number of states in the U.S. that permit wineries to ship wine directly to consumers. As of this August, the newest state to allow direct shipping will be Pennsylvania, bringing the total to 43.  The 7 remaining states that do not allow wine to be shipped are: Delaware, Oklahoma, Utah, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Rhode Island.
