Percentage increase in retail sales of wine in half bottles in the 4-week period ending Nov. 7 over the same period last year. According to Nielsen data, full-size bottles only saw a 19% increase in the same time period. Due to the pandemic, more people are either drinking alone, or taking advantage of the lockdown to try something new. The explosion in popularity of live virtual tastings indicates increased interest in exploration and education alike.
