Number of billions of gallons of wine produced worldwide from last year’s harvest, according to the International Organization of Vine and Wine. The total global output of wine has been falling by approximately a half billion gallons every year. Last year was especially tough thanks to hailstorms and frost in Europe, drought in South Africa and wildfires in California. Guess what less wine across the globe means? Yup. Prices are going up.
