Number of bottles of Westvleteren beer (considered one of the best beers in the world) illegally sold by a Dutch supermarket chain. For nearly 200 years, the rarefied beer has only ever been sold by the Trappist monks of St. Sixtus Abbey in western Belgium who produce it. (To buy, customers normally have to get an appointment at the monastery). It’s not clear how the supermarket acquired the beer. The monks are expected to forgive the trespass, at least this time.
