Number of bottles (so far) of Prohibition-era whisky found in the walls of a century-old house during renovations. The home, located in Ames, NY halfway between the Canadian border and New York City, was built by self-styled ”Count” Adolph Humpfner, a reputed bootlegger. Owners Nick Drummond and Patrick Bakker believe the stash of Old Smuggler Whisky (which they intend to auction off) was made in Scotland in the 1920s and shipped to Canada before being smuggled to Ames.
