Percentage of chefs in a recent James Beard Foundation survey who expressed no or only moderate confidence that their restaurants would survive past the winter. The two-week survey was conducted in November and December, with respondents from 42 of 50 states, and the District of Columbia. The study was largely conducted before the Omicron variant of COVID-19 was discovered.
