Blauer Portugieser (BLAUW-er por-chew-GAY-zer)

Prolific vine that has nothing to do with Portugal. Very widely planted in Austria (its probable home) and elsewhere in eastern Europe including, notably, Hungary. Also makes up a lot of Germany’s red wine.
