Tempranillo is the great red grape of Spain, and Castilla-La Mancha is the vast, high-altitude central plain on which Don Quixote roamed. And this wine is one helluva steal. Dark, spicy, velvety, and packed with espresso and mocha notes, it’s full of personality. The vines for this wine are 50 years old, and the wine spends a bit of time aging in amphorae.
