The day in July when the 2016 harvest began in the Napa Valley. The grapes—all 20.4 tons of them– were pinot meunier. They will become part of the blend in Mumm Napa’s sparkling wines. By the third week in August, most of the 2016 harvest will have begun throughout the state.
