Amount (in millions of U.S. dollars) that Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle just paid to buy back her Chilean winery Lapostolle from Campari. Early in 2016, Campari had bought a majority stake in the French liqueur brand Grand Marnier which included the acquisition of Lapostolle winery. Marnier Lapostolle had founded the winery in 1994 in Colchagua and with the help of consulting winemaker Michel Rolland, had built it to become one of the best in Chile. Lapostolle’s Cuvée Alexandre Chardonnay was featured as one of the “Chilean Wines to Know” in The Wine Bible.
