Percentage of advertising dollars in the alcoholic beverage industry that is spent on wine, according to the 2023 Silicon Valley Bank “State of the U.S. Wine Industry” Report. Beer ads accounted for a whopping 48.1% of spending and came in at $886.2 million in 2021, with distilled spirits and flavored malt beverages coming in at second and third place. Could this partly explain why 35% of 21 to 29-year-olds who drink alcohol choose anything but wine?
