Beer ads accounted for a whopping 48.1% of spending and came in at $886.2 million in 2021, with distilled spirits and flavored malt beverages coming in at second and third place. Could this partly explain why 35% of 21 to 29-year-olds who drink alcohol choose anything but wine?
