Percent of Chile’s landmass made up of mountains. Along the eastern border are the  Andes, the longest mountain chain in the world, with snow-capped peaks that reach 22,000 feet. Along the Pacific is the Chilean Coastal Range. Mountains also traverse the country east to west, creating a plethora of varying terroirs in which vines grow.
